Connecting Claude

You can connect Claude, Anthropic’s AI assistant, to your site. Then you can ask it, in plain words, to do things in your admin for you:

  • Design your site: “Make my site dark and neon, like an arcade”, “Add an FAQ page”, “Make the order confirmation email friendlier”.
  • Draft competitions: “Set up a PlayStation 5 competition, 3,000 tickets at 99p, drawn on the last Sunday of the month, with ten £10 instant wins”.
  • Keep on top of things: “Which prizes do I still owe?”, “How’s the leaderboard looking?”, “Make a 10% code for Black Friday”.

Claude works through RaffleKit’s own connection for it (an MCP server), so it uses your admin the way you do, with the same checks.

Connecting Claude is on Growth and above (see Your plan).

  • Only owners can connect Claude. What it changes can reach your live site, so admins don’t see Connected apps. See Owners and admins.
  • You need a Claude account. Connecting works on every Claude plan, on the web, desktop and mobile apps. On the Free plan you can add one custom connector. On Team and Enterprise plans, your organisation’s owner adds the connector first, then you connect to it.

Settings → Connected apps

The Connected apps page

  1. Under Connect Claude, copy the address. It ends in /mcp.
  2. In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, then Add custom connector. Give it a name (RaffleKit), paste the address and click Add.
  3. Claude opens RaffleKit’s sign-in. Sign in with your RaffleKit account, the one you use for your admin.
  4. On Connect an app, choose Which site? (you can only choose sites you own) and What may it do? (see Access and safety), and click Allow.

You’re sent back to Claude, and it’s connected. Try “What’s on my site?” to check. Claude connects to one site at a time: to use it with another, add the connector again and choose that site.

The page says who’s asking, and where you’ll be sent back to. Apps choose their own names, so only continue if you started this from Claude.

To give Claude more or less freedom, disconnect it (below) and connect again, choosing a different level.

Your apps on Connected apps lists the apps you’ve connected, what each may do, when it was connected and when it was last used. Choose Disconnect and it stops working straight away. You can also remove the connector in Claude.

Each owner connects and disconnects their own apps. If you stop being an owner (you’re made an admin, removed from the team, or you leave), your apps are disconnected.
